Son-Kel lake

upon request

Available: June - August

Adventure tour, visits to base camps, camps at an altitude of over 2500 meters above sea level, accommodation in families, guest houses, tents, yurts and walks up to 4 hours.

Son-Kul is a fabulous mountain lake located on the Tien Shan mountain range at an altitude of 3016 m. Son Kul is famous among the shepherds from Kochkor, Naryn and Atshansky regions as a jailoo - pasture in the summer months. It is considered a pearl among Kyrgyz shepherds. The route to Son-Kul passes through the highlands until it seems to disappear into the sky itself. This is probably why Son-Kul translates from Kyrgyz as “the last lake”.
